Montessori Primary Science Curriculum (Ages 3-6)
Wondering how to tackle Montessori science in your prepared environment? Whether you're a parent working hard to set up a Montessori homeschool, or a director working to establish a Montessori co-op, daycare or school, you have come to the right place. And, you are not alone. Montessori science is HUGE and can feel intimidating. That's because the goal of the Montessori primary science curriculum is to encourage a sense of wonder at the vastness and beauty of our universe and to prepare children for a lifetime of learning and discovery.
To help you bring an exceptional, engaging science program to your Montessori homeschool, co-op, daycare or school, Multisori introduces young children to advanced science concepts using hands-on activities and a full multi-sensory approach. Through the use of colorful posters, vibrant mini-books, simple experiments and a variety of other activities, Multisori makes science fun and exciting.
The Montessori primary science program explores a wide breadth of science courses and subjects. Few elementary-aged children are as advanced as Montessori students in this area.
Similar to the rest of Multisori’s Montessori primary curriculum, this introduction to science piques a child’s interest with simple hands-on projects and keeps learning science active and fun. It sets the stage for a solid foundation of a love of science for years to come.
With Multisori, you can enjoy an in depth science study without the stress. Teaching science can begin with something as simple as nature walks - introducing a young child to plants and animals in the environment around them. They can collect leaves and practice drawing and writing the names of their shapes. With Multisori’s science curriculum, kids also study the life cycle of animals and insects. You’ll be surprised just how easy it is to teach science to children who are already naturally curious!
Then, as the primary child moves closer to their elementary years, their love of science only grows as they learn to analyze data and are further introduced to more specific science concepts in areas such as earth science, botany, zoology, and physical science.
Please note: Unlike the other subjects included in M3 by Multisori's Montessori primary curriculum, you will need to purchase a handful of science supplies to use alongside the curriculum (examples include: a magnifying glass, a prism, and a pair of binoculars). Please reference the supply list included in the free Montessori curriculum sample for a complete list of supplies.
